Campus Cupboard Volunteers

Our food shelf is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 AM – 3 PM. We are in need of volunteers that can help stock shelves, greet shoppers, tidy the food shelf. You can be at the food shelf for all or part of the hours we are open.

We are also in need of volunteers to aid in our food recovery efforts. You are welcome to help us recover food at Cub or log and stock it once it arrives at Crossroads. To volunteer to recover food, please reach out to the Campus Cupboard coordinator for more information.

Lunch for $1 Servers

Area congregations sponsor Lunch for $1 on Tuesdays from 11-1 PM during the school year (September through May). Consider getting a group together to help serve!

Truck Unloaders

Campus Cupboard gets a lot of its food from Second Harvest Heartland, a food bank near the Twin Cities. On the first and third Thursdays of each month, we receive several tons of food that must be unboxed and shelved.

Every first and third Tuesday, we create an event on Mav Central that allows for people affiliated with MNSU to sign up to help. If you are not an MNSU student, staff, or faculty, please contact the Campus Cupboard coordinator at campuscupboardmnsu@gmail.com to sign up to help.

Food Drives

Consider hosting a food drive for Crossroads! We are always in need of food to help keep our shelves stocked, and are always open to donations of any size. Crossroads is a fantastic ministry for your school, workplace, or congregation to help support.

We will accept all donations, but are always in need of the following:
– Menstrual Products
– Vegetable Oil
– Dried beans and rice
– Spices
– Foods from a variety of cultural traditions
