Crossroads is a Reconciling in Christ faith community.
That means our facility and programs are meant to be a place of safety and hospitality for all. We do not tolerate violence, contempt, or bigotry in our midst.
In the hospitality of Christ, we welcome people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. We welcome persons of all races, nations, and economic resources to join us on the path of deepening spirituality and expanding service to God’s world.
The apostle Paul explained that, among the servants of Christ, conventional social distinctions no longer apply. In a letter to the Christians in Galatia (c. 50 CE), he explained “there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female” (Galatians 3:28). We strive to live in that spirit.
Because gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, trans-sexual, and queer individuals suffer scorn and rejection in some churches, a clear statement of our position follows.
At Crossroads Campus Ministry we understand that:
* LGBTQ people, like all others the worth that comes from being beloved by God;
* LGBTQ people become part of this congregation by making the same affirmation of faith that all other members make; and
* LGBTQ people are expected and encouraged to share fully in life and work of this ministry, as are all who walk the path of discipleship.
